Of course I said yes, hello, I am in love! : ) I will never forget the image of Joey on his knee in front of the glowing Christmas tree with the lights low and candles burning. The date was 12/4/2009, a Friday, and I was a little annoyed that he had skipped out on my work party that night. I walked in the door after the party, looking good I might add - I was wearing a silver pant suit which I received several compliments on at the party. As I walked in I could tell something was different, the lights were off and the flickering light was not coming from the TV. This is not the usual atmosphere when I come home. I ascended the stairs and turn the corner to my kitchen/living room and there he was sitting on the couch wearing a burgundy, button-up shirt that matched the Christmas decorations - he looked good. He asked me to sit down and proceeded to tell me how much he loved me and how sorry he was that he didn't attend the party with me. He stated that it wasn't because he didn't want to meet my friends but that he had something VERY important to do. He continued by telling me what I meant to him. You know the stuff EVERY girl likes to hear. It was enough to replace my annoyance with anticipation. He then became silent, looked me in the eye and said, "I got something for you." He reached down beside the couch and handed me 18 beautiful red roses. A little confused, I proceeded to express my love and thanks for such a beautiful gift. After admiring them for awhile I stood up to put them on the counter. When I turned around there he was on one knee holding a little red box and with a cute grin he said, "I got you something else." My hand went directly to my mouth realizing that this was the moment that I had been anticipating. He told me he loved me and wanted to be sealed to me for time and all eternity. With tears falling down my face, I opened the box and he put the ring on my finger. I told him that I can't think of anyone else that I would rather spend eternity with. And there you have it. This man I met and fell in love with 5 months ago at a 30 and over singles activity will be my companion through this life and the next. I can't wait for eternity!

So, my friends, wedding plans are coming along. We will be sealed in the Ogden Temple on Tuesday, April 6th 2010 and then have a fairly large celebration that following Saturday, April 10th 2010. Our Celebration is booked at The Tuscany Gardens in Roy, Utah. I can't think of a more romantic place than Roy, Utah. *sigh* In all seriousness, The Tuscany Gardens (tuscanygardens.net) is not only beautiful but includes "everything" so all we have to do is show up and enjoy the day. Joey and I are scheduled to visit this Wednesday to choose a cake, flowers, linens, centerpieces and invitations. It will be fun to get all the details in order. I am also scheduled for a second dress fitting tomorrow. Yes, I will be wearing a Jana Murdock original wedding dress. I knew exactly what I wanted so I took my idea to a wedding dress designer - in Provo of course - and she is making me a custom fit dress. My favorite part is the corset which moves everything I have to a more attractive position. We have also chosen a photographer and now we have to pick a date for engagement pictures. When the dress is done I will get the Bridals. I am LOVING all of it. Who would have thought that a little tom boy from Delta, who once told her Mother that she was going to wear a tux to her own wedding because they were cooler, would be THE most beautiful bride in a dress she designed herself? Wonders never cease, my friends. Wonders never cease.
